Arthur Hayes is the co-founder of crypto investment firm 100x Group and the co-founder and former CEO of BitMEX. Hayes stepped down as CEO of BitMEX after he and his co-partners were indicted by the CFTC on counts of violating the Bank Secrecy Act and conspiracy. Hayes pleaded not guilty to the charges in Manhattan federal court in April 2021.
