Sinbad App, Successor to Blender, Is Also Sanctioned by Feds for Money Laundering Activity

The U.S. Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has sanctioned the Sinbad app, a successor to the coin mixer Blender, for its use in laundering millions of dollars in illicit funds by the North Korean hacking group Lazarus Group. Sinbad was also found to be used by cybercriminals for activities such as sanctions evasion, drug trafficking, and the purchase of illegal materials. The Sinbad website has been seized as a result of the sanctions.
