Pudgy Penguins, the Ethereum NFT collection that has since spawned a thriving toy line, is set to enter the mobile gaming market with Pudgy Party, a party game developed in collaboration with Mythical Games.

Pudgy Party will launch globally on iOS and Android platforms in 2025. Unlike typical knockout royale games (like Fall Guys) that are already on the market, the developers say that Pudgy Party will focus on teamwork and shared rewards in a vibrant, accessible environment.

"We are thrilled to bring Pudgy Penguins into the world of mobile gaming with Pudgy Party," said Pudgy Penguins CEO Luca Netz, in a statement. "Our mission is to create an inclusive and joyful experience where players can connect and celebrate together."

Key gameplay elements include dodging obstacles, developing collection strategies, and competing or collaborating with others. Players can customize their penguin characters, as well, and progress from beginner to advanced levels.

Earlier this year, Pudgy Penguins and Mythical Games announced plans to launch a mobile game in 2025 on the Mythos Chain, a network built on the Polkadot blockchain. The developers have yet to reveal details on how the blockchain integration will work for Pudgy Party, but confirmed that the game will indeed be built on Mythos.

The Pudgy Penguins brand has been consistent in using blockchain throughout its expansion efforts, however. Its plush toys and figurines, which are now sold at retailers like Target and Walmart, are bundled with codes that let buyers redeem free NFT customization items for the earlier game Pudgy World on Ethereum layer-2 network zkSync.

Mythical Games is best known as the developer behind such NFT games as NFL Rivals and Blankos Block Party.
