Frustrated by the disparity between people out of work on the one hand, and the need for workers in blockchain-related industries on the other, crypto influencer Anthony Pompliano today announced the launch today of a job board: PompCryptoJobs.com.

Joining him in the venture are Coinbase, Gemini, and BlockFi, who, between them, had more than 100 career postings at launch.

"There are millions of people who are out of work in the United States, and many more that want to transition into the Bitcoin and crypto industry,” Pompliano told Decrypt. “The best companies in the industry have thousands of open jobs available. It felt like an easy solution to create a marketplace where job candidates and corporations could find and connect with each other."

Pompliano, co-founder of the crypto-oriented hedge fund Morgan Creek Digital, hosts a popular podcast and YouTube channel. He’s followed by nearly a half-million people on Twitter where he’s known for his always bullish prognostications about Bitcoin.

Why PompCryptoJobs.com?

"I'll be leveraging my large audience to bring companies and job candidates together in a marketplace," Pompliano said in a statement. "The idea is to simplify the job search for people looking to transition into crypto, while also drastically reducing the friction for companies to find the best candidates possible.

Like other job sites, PompCryptoJobs.com has two sides: Job Seeker and Employer.

Job seekers provide their name, email address, and password to open their account, where they can then upload their resume for free.

The site makes money from employers looking to post jobs. PompCryptoJobs.com  charges prospective employers from $200 to $2500 a month, based on the number of help wanted listings they post.

PompCryptoJobs.com serves both in-person or remote roles. "My goal here is to create a marketplace that allows for the best candidates to find the best roles, regardless of location, language, or job specifications," Pompliano said.

He said he was gratified that a number of top-tier crypto companies had signed on for today’s launch. "It was important to me that our launch partners were high quality, fast-growing businesses that were leading the way in Bitcoin and crypto," Pompliano said. "These three firms all represent the exact types of companies that I would want my friends and family to work at, so it was natural to kick this off with them.”
