New York-based crypto exchange Gemini is adding the Basic Attention Token (BAT) to its lineup of cryptocurrencies on Friday 24 April, according to a statement.

Trading of BAT will begin on April 24 at 9.30 AM eastern time. The coin will be tradeable against US dollar, Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Basic Attention Token is the native currency of the Brave browser. Brave is a privacy-first browser built on Chromium, which lets you choose to receive ads if you want to get paid for viewing them. It also lets you tip websites with cryptocurrencies.

Currently the exchange only supports five cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin and Zcash.

In September, the exchange created an institutional-grade custody platform. It started with 18 cryptocurrencies when it launched, including Basic Attention Token.
