Basic Attention Token (BAT) has just gained a further 10% to push its market capitalization over $400 million for the first time since July 2019. This continues a recent surge of momentum that has seen BAT gain almost 50% in the last month. The price of BAT now stands at $0.28.

This recent bullish activity has helped Basic Attention Token climb three positions in the last week to become the 30th largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, overtaking the likes of VeChain (VET) in the process.

As it stands, Basic Attention Token is performing better than any other cryptocurrency in the top 30 by market capitalization—narrowly edging out Chainlink (LINK) and IOTA, which gained 7.5% and 8.8% respectively in the last 24 hours.

The release of the latest version of the Brave Browser late last week may have helped the price action. It has added sponsored images when a new tab is opened, for a 70% revenue share—if users opt-in to the program.

Brave is known for already offering a share of ad revenue if users opt-in to seeing ads on the browser. The privacy-focused browser blocks ads by default.
