The Ethereum Foundation has announced a new round of grants given out as part of its Ecosystem Support Program, awarding a total of $3.884 million to 28 projects specializing in various spheres.
Among the supported projects is FOSS Responders, aimed at helping various open-source efforts to cope with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“With the recent cancellations of open source events due to COVID-19, the future of the FOSS community is unknown. The only way to sustain our community is together, and FOSS Responders are here to help,” says the project’s website.
The project offers help to startups that had events planned but that have been canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.
As Decrypt reported, the Ethereum Foundation has previously awarded $2 million in funding to eight projects within the ecosystem and has created three bounties offering at least $15,000 in total for various security-related challenges. Overall, its grants demonstrated a focus on scaling.
The full list of the Ecosystem Support Program’s grantees in Q2 2020 is available on the initiative’s official website.
