CoolWallet Integrates ChangeNOW as Its In-App Swap Provider

Hardware wallets were once primarily designed to keep private keys offline and secure.. Now, expectations have changed. People who manage their own crypto still want secure cold storage, but they also want to swap assets easily, without exporting keys, using extra apps, or relying on browser tabs. That's why CoolWallet integrated ChangeNOW as one of the fast swap providers on the market, and the integration is the first step in a broader strategic partnership with ChangeNOW.

A few words about CoolWallet

CoolWallet has been making hardware wallets since 2014 and now has over 300,000 users, with no hacking incidents reported. Their products—CoolWallet Pro, and the NFC-based Go—combine a credit-card-sized device with the CoolWallet App, letting users manage both cold and hot storage together. Private keys are generated within the device's secure chip and never leave it, ensuring they are never exposed to the connected mobile device. The app supports buying, staking, and swapping assets across Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, EVM-compatible chains, and other supported networks.

Why it matters that CoolWallet chose ChangeNOW

Integrating a swap provider into a hardware wallet takes careful planning. The product is designed to keep keys safe and avoid sending users through untrusted channels, so the exchange feature must meet the same high standards as the device. CoolWallet has added ChangeNOW Exchange API and, for the first month after launch, ChangeNOW will be the default provider for in-app swaps.

Users don’t have to choose a provider. They just open the swap screen, pick the assets they want to trade, and confirm. The system handles the rest, and for now, ChangeNOW is the provider it uses. It’s non-custodial, requires no registration, and automatically finds rates from CEX and DEX liquidity across more than 1,500 assets and 90 networks. 

Coverage and execution carry the rest. On coverage, users move between assets and layers without leaving the app or hunting for an obscure pair. On execution, swaps settle fast and hold their rate even when liquidity shifts, since routing targets the best final output rather than the flashiest headline number.

What’s next

Together with the CoolWallet team, ChangeNOW is developing a special-edition hardware wallet for Token2049 Singapore, taking place at Marina Bay Sands on October 7–8. The limited-edition wallet will feature a custom design and include ChangeNOW as its sole in-app swap provider. Details on availability will be announced at a later date.
