Paris, France, 16th October 2024 – Ledger, the world leader in Digital Asset security for consumers and enterprises, has announced the opening of its new global headquarters, 106, a state of the art office and community space in the heart of Paris’ Le Marais district. Celebrating its 10-year anniversary in 2024, Ledger has invested deeply in its talent and in France as its global HQ, signing the largest lease in Paris when it was agreed in 2021.

Featuring nine floors of premium office space, the headquarters is also designed to serve as a hub for the tech and crypto community in Paris, France, and Europe. Ledger will run events for the ecosystem from 106, and provide use of some of its facilities for innovators and creators in the space, including its state of the art podcast and video studio, music recording studio, and hardware innovation lab.

“Paris is Ledger’s home, we have been building a world-class security company here for 10 years now,” says Pascal Gauthier, Chairman & CEO of Ledger. “Our new headquarters in Paris is a culmination of a decade of unrelenting ambition for Ledger, and we can’t wait to see what the future brings.”

106 is home to the Donjon, Ledger’s world-leading attack lab. With its own dedicated floor, Ledger’s Donjon team attack both Ledger’s own devices and research other products to find vulnerabilities before nefarious actors, protecting users around the world. The Donjon houses state of the art equipment designed to find and exploit cracks in digital security.

"In a time when companies are redefining their relationship to the office, we are proud to offer a workspace that goes far beyond traditional expectations. 106 is not just a place to work, it's an environment designed to wander BLANC, VP PEOPLE, at LEDGER. “Our vision of the office places employees at the center of our focus, offering them a space that promotes not only productivity but also well-being, with flexible layouts and dedicated areas for reflection, relaxation, and learning."

The 7500m2 building currently holds Ledger’s 350 Paris-based employees with capacity for up to 800 people, as Ledger continues to grow on its trajectory towards being one of the biggest tech companies founded and growing in Europe.

Renowned Paris architect Franklin Azzi oversaw the building’s renovation, while Réda Nafaa, Ledger’s Global Real Estate & Workplace Director, led jointly with Studios Architecture on the interior design and fit-out, branding, style and signage were handled in-part by Identité(s) Studio, in tandem with our Ledger in-house Creative team led by Jules McLean.

The 106 project was built around 6 pillars: Humanity, Light, Biophilia, Technology, Art and Sociability. Every floor and space was designed to have a unique experience while serving multiple use cases, with design concepts inspired from Ledger’s story, legacy and brand. The approach is a journey through Ledger from sublevels to top floors.

Sustainability was a key focus area when developing 106. Ledger attained a number of key sustainability certifications for 106, including HQE, BREEAM, Effinergie, WELL, Wiredscore, all at Gold or excellent levels.

“Ledger is the only company on the planet focused on furthering the usage of digital assets by making secure self-custody easy to use for ten years. 106 allows the Ledger team to live this mission daily,” says Ian Rogers, Chief Experience Officer (CXO) at Ledger.“We’re looking forward to hosting the global crypto community here in the coming months and years, from the general public buying Ledger devices and minting limited releases from ArtBlocks and Generative Goods in the lobby, to our podcast studio being a global hub for the futurists reporting on the growth of our industry, to hosting the global community at Ledger events. 106 is our home but we hope it’s your home in many ways, too.”

The Lobby features the Ledger Café, which at opening will be run in conjunction with ArtBlocks Engine. The Art Blocks Engine Café is a creative collaboration between Art Blocks and Ledger that celebrates the evolving power of Generative Art.

Each artwork in this space is part of a larger collection, yet entirely unique, created through a process known as Generative Art. This approach uses algorithms and code written by artists to produce visuals that combine randomness and intention, ensuring no two pieces are ever alike.

LEDGER, Paris is the first exclusive release created for the Art Blocks Engine Café by Generative Goods.

The artwork captures the moments from dawn until dusk, from sleep to wake, when iconic architecture emerges as one beautiful silhouette on the Paris horizon.

Every interactive artwork is unique and will never be repeated, capable of generating files in various formats compatible with physical production processes such as printing and embroidery. Simply click on the artwork to explore how you can bring your one-of-a-kind piece to life.

LEDGER, Paris is only available on location at Art Blocks Engine Café.
