NFT ‘lifestyle club’ World of Women (WoW) is gearing up for its second annual Gala event in Paris later this month, showcasing its new NFC-enabled wearable, the Friendchip bracelet.
Taking place at the Pavillon Gabriel on February 24, 2024—between NFT Paris and Paris Fashion Week—World of Women’s hallmark event is billed as a “celebration of the convergence of technology, culture, and identity in the digital age.”
“Every aspect of Gala–from the drink selections, to performances and music, lighting and bioluminescent botanicals–has been carefully curated to transport guests into the heart of WoW lore,” said WoW Head of Creative Jordan Zucchiatti.
The Gala will bring together WoW’s digital and physical realities in an atmosphere inspired by the collection’s Cyber Jungle planet, with music from local talents and events including interactive stations by POAP Studios, on-theme makeup application by Sephora Universe, and exclusive whiskey tastings by Suntory’s Sakazuki Experience.
Alongside an array of side events for attendees throughout the week, the Gala will also play host to the WoW Awards, recognizing achievements and future pioneers in the spirit of “innovation, collaboration and united values of the WoW community.”
Presented live at Gala for the second time, the WoW Awards cover five categories:
The event will also serve as a showcase for WoW’s Friendchip bracelet, an NFC-equipped wearable that links to members’ profile on the club’s networking platform Patio. To coincide with the Gala, Patio has been opened up to Guest Profiles for the first time, expanding its reach beyond WoW members.
“As an inclusive Web3 community, it felt right to open Patio to friends and supporters of WoW,” said VP of Product Taisia Antonova. “Everyone is welcome to experience the WoW vibes, meet our members, and explore whether our ecosystem is a fit.”
While Patio Guest Profiles will be open to anyone registering with an email address, tokenproof account or approved Web3 wallet, Friendchip bracelets are only available to Gala ticket holders.
