GenSight Biologics Raises $4.3 Million After Gene Therapy Success

GenSight Biologics has completed the second Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) batch of its gene therapy product LUMEVOQ, allowing the company to receive €4 million in financing. The funding will extend GenSight's cash runway until December 2023, but the company still needs to raise an additional €10 million to sustain its activities beyond that. GenSight is awaiting the review of its marketing authorization application for LUMEVOQ by the European Medicines Agency.
