Yesterday, Felix Kjellberg, the individual behind Youtube's second most popular channel—PewDiePe—posted a video discussing Tron (TRX)—a top 15 cryptocurrency—and the streaming platform it recently acquired, known as DLive.
In the video, which Felix Kjellberg published less than a day ago, the Youtube influencer describes the reasons why he decided to join DLive back in April 2019. Kjellberg highlighted the platform's creator-friendly approach to monetization, which provides creators with 100% of the revenue earned from their content while incentivizing viewers to engage with their favorite creators through the DLive treasure chest.

PewDiePie's commentary comes just two weeks after Tron announced it acquired the DLive streaming platform, and that it would be integrating this with its BitTorrent and BLive products. In light of this, Kjellberg also announced that he will be giving away his gaming chair in order to celebrate "DLive joining the BitTorrent family," before briefly describing what BitTorrent is to his 102 million subscribers;
"BitTorrent is the biggest peer-to-peer, file-sharing network in the world, powered by [the] Tron blockchain, which means they have over 100 million users," said Felix.
Not one to miss a beat, Tron CEO Justin Sun took the opportunity to promote the video to his substantial Twitter following and produced his own Youtube video discussing the subject. As usual, the comments on his Tweet are a mixed bag, though at least one user appears to be perplexed why Justin Sun chose to post his own video on Youtube, despite owning DLive.
Nonetheless, the news appears to have had little to no effect on the price action of TRX, though the cryptocurrency is up 2.5% since the video went live. As it stands, this is roughly in line with the rest of the crypto market, since it’s following the price of bitcoin—which just broke $8,000.
